There are many different manipulative techniques that can be utilized in chiropractic care and there is a certain skill level and "art" involved. Our Chiropractors have been practicing for over 20 years and they are very skilled at the techniques that they practice.
At Advanced Chiropractic Nutrition Center, we perform a variety of common Chiropractic techniques. The most common type of Chiropractic adjustment often is referred to as "manual adjustment" . The second most common adjustment technique is referred to as an " Activator "adjustment.
During a manual adjustment, some rotation &/or side bending of the body may occur and an "audible " may be heard.
During an Activator adjustment, the patient is lying face down, there is no side bending or rotation and an electronic tool is used to deliver a mechanical force that moves the bone. It is generally regarded as a softer chiropractic treatment technique. This technique is usually preferred by people that do not like traditional ways of adjusting.
Both types of adjusting are very popular and safe. Depending on the patiences' preferences or needs, we do our best to tailor the adjustment techniques to best suit the patients' needs. Both techniques can be used to adjust the extremities as well as the spine. They correct spinal alignment, motion &/or function of the vertebral joint or extremity.
As a result, Chiropractic adjustments decrease pain, increase range of motion, reduce nerve irritability and improve health and function. Chiropractic adjustments allow the body to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery.
